Author Guidelines

The article must be original, that is, it cannot have been published in other scientific journals.

The article must adhere to the established formatting, and failure to meet the required formatting by the journal will be grounds for non-acceptance.

The text comprising the introduction, development, and conclusion must be in Aptos Narrow font, size 12, justified, with a paragraph indentation of 1.25 at the beginning of each paragraph, and 1.5 line spacing. Attention should be paid to page margins: Top and Bottom: 2.0cm; Left and Right: 2.5cm.

The works must comply with the standards of ABNT (Brazilian Association of Technical Standards) and the Journal's Template.

Article submissions must be made exclusively through the electronic system available on the journal's website.

Both identified and unidentified versions must be submitted through the journal's submission system.

In the identified version, the following should be included on the first page: Title and name of the institution (ACRONYM) where the degree was obtained. Role performed and Institution to which you are affiliated (ACRONYM), city, state, country. Mailing address: Street/Av., number, complement, neighborhood, city, state, country, ZIP code: xxxxx-xxx. ORCID email address. Lattes email address. Email: author@xxx.com. The requested information must also be entered in the article submission system.

The unidentified version must not contain author identifications in the text body or submitted file. Each article can have up to five authors, with at least one author being required to hold a doctoral title.

Articles should be in Microsoft Office Word (.doc or .docx) format, and authors must remove all personal information from the document by accessing File - Info - Inspect Document in Word and removing visible personal information, revisions, and comments.

Note: If the file exceeds the 2MB limit in Word format, authors may submit in PDF format.

The scientific article text must be in Portuguese, English, French, or Spanish, containing a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 20 pages.

Reviews, Interviews, and Essays follow the same submission standards as scientific articles, including the template available on the Journal's website. They can contain from 8 to 12 pages.

Images, graphs, and tables should be in high resolution within the article text.

Approved works will be published in electronic format.

Research involving human subjects must adhere to the principles of the institution's Ethics Committee of origin or have the Informed Consent Form signed by research participants.

Authors are responsible for the spelling and grammatical correctness of the text. Additionally, they must carefully review the abstract in other languages.

Articles will initially be evaluated by Section Editors (Associate Editors) solely to assess the relevance of the submitted articles, their suitability for the journal's scope, and whether they meet the submission criteria. In the initial evaluation, if the article does not meet the journal's submission criteria, the Section Editor may automatically reject it without it being forwarded for double-blind review.

Articles that pass the initial evaluation will be sent to two external Reviewers (ad hoc Consultants) for double-blind review by Section Editors (Associate Editors), in accordance with the Journal's editorial guidelines and the evaluation criteria established by the Editorial Board. Reviewers (ad hoc Consultants) will provide opinions on the articles, indicating whether they should be accepted for publication, rejected, or accepted with modifications. In case of divergence between the Reviewers' opinions, the Section Editors will make the final decision on the article's publication. Section Editors may, if deemed necessary, send the article with divergent opinions to a third reviewer (ad hoc Consultant).

Authors will be informed of the evaluation results and, if accepted, must make the corrections and modifications suggested by the Reviewers within the timeframe established by the journal. Articles accepted for publication will be published in the Journal according to the periodicity defined by the Editorial Board.

The maximum evaluation period for articles will be 120 days.

Dossier/Special Issue: The Journal "Ensino em Debate" accepts proposals for dossiers/special issues, consisting of 7 (seven) to 10 (ten) articles. The proposal and articles must be in line with the scope of the journal. Additionally, the articles must be related to the theme and objective of the dossier/special issue. Submitted articles must follow the same submission standards as scientific articles, including the template available on the Journal's website.

References

Citations should be presented with single spacing, left alignment, font size 12, and one blank space between each. It is suggested to use updated references in the field of study and bibliography that promote dialogue with the "REDE" Journal.
